Ioka Village is a location in Chrono Trigger. Bisected by a bridge and river, it appears as a small village of teepees with a central meeting ground. It appears in 65,000,000 BC (Prehistory). Ayla and Kino reside here. In one of the huts, Fangs, Horns, Petals, and Feathers are traded for weapons and armor.

StoryEdit

First VisitEdit

Ioka Village is first visited on Crono's quest for Dreamstone to repair Masamune and slay Magus. Ayla, the woman-chief, agrees to relinquish the stone if Crono can beat her at a soup-chugging competition. He wins, but before the stone is handed over, Reptites raid the village and steal it. Kino steals the Gate Key out of jealously for the attention Ayla shows Crono, and she demands it back; however, it was stolen form him by the Reptites. With help from Ayla, they retrieve the stone and the key, returning to 1000 A.D. to repair the sword. At this time, the party still believes Magus created/summoned Lavos; thus by defeating him, the future is preserved.

Second VisitEdit

Crono's crew teleports to Ioka Village through a Gate after defeating Magus. Ayla suggests they rest and recover from the battle. When they wake up, they are alerted of a Reptite invasion on another nearby village. Riding Dactyls, the team departs for Tyranno Lair, headquarters of the citizens' reptilian enemies.
