Charm is the fifth Tech learned by Ayla in Chrono Trigger. It consists of seducing the enemy to steal an item.
It can fail sometimes, but the chance of success can be increased thanks to the Alluring Top, an exclusive accessory for Ayla.
Animation[]
When used, Ayla begins to seduce the enemy and a heart appears, approaching the enemy, managing to steal an item, which is kept inside a gift box. When she fails, Ayla just laughs and fails to steal the item from the enemy.
Etymology[]
色仕掛け (irojikake) is a Japanese word that means to seduce someone to achieve their ends, such as favors or gifts. In Chrono Trigger, it involves Ayla seducing enemies into giving her and her party items.
Trivia[]
- When using this technique on the SNES/PS1 versions, there will be times when we will have a message saying: "It's the thought that counts..." accompanied by a comical sound effect, when the technique makes the player believe that they managed to steal an item. This also happens with Twin Charm.
